Who Are We
Newlands Cottages have been welcoming guests since 2005. In 2014 we did a huge renovation in Clarkia Cottage adding a second bathroom and opening up the living/dining/tv room and enlarging the back patio as seen on this photo. It has been an ongoing labour of love keeping these cottages in good condition and trying to create a welcoming and functional space in line with building restriction to a cottage that is a heritage building and directly opposite the official presidential residence. We pride ourself in staying true to the original style of these cottages with as much modern comfort we can fit in.
Fibre WiFi on a convertor ensures 24hrs internet connection with Netflix, Britbox etc streaming on connected tv.
The Rondebosch/Newlands Village is a unique community in it's residence make-up and it's location. The cottages/homes are all fairly close to each other in green, tree lined roads with close walking distance to beautiful mountain trails, UCT, Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens and easy driving distance to city centre and Muizenberg beaches. It sits directly under Table Mountain above the main road
